Guidelines

  1. Optimal Planting Time: April 1st to May 15th for a spring harvest and from September 1st to September 15th for a fall harvest.
  2. Companion Plants: Basil or Marigold (repels pests)
  3. Expected growth->
    a. 1 week - seeling emerged
    b. 2 weeks - 1-2 inches tall with true leaves.
    c. 3 weeks - 3-6 inches
    d. 4 weeks - 4-8 inches
    e. 5 weeks - 6-10 inches
  4. Harvest ready when they are 6-8 inches tall, the heads will be firm and the leaves will be lush and green.
